Translation commentary on Matthew 9:26

And the report of this went (Jerusalem Bible “And the news spread…”) may need to be restructured so as to indicate who spread the news, “People began to spread the news about this” or “People began to tell (each other) about this.”

All that district (Good News Translation “that part of the country”) hints that the author did not live there at the time of his writing. District can be “region” or “area.”
