Translation commentary on Matthew 22:46

It may be more effective to render these two clauses as separate sentences: “No one could give him an answer. From then on no one dared question him” (Bibel im heutigen Deutsch, 1st edition), or “No one was able to answer the questions that Jesus asked the Pharisees. And from that moment on, everyone was afraid to try to trap Jesus with any more questions.”
