Translation commentary on 2 Chronicles 33:24

And his servants conspired against him: The Hebrew noun for servants in this context refers to high officials and not simply to lowly domestic servants. Revised English Bible and New Jewish Publication Society’s Tanakh say “courtiers.” Others translate “officers” (Moffatt), “officials” (Good News Translation), or “ministers” (La Bible du Semeur). The Hebrew verb and preposition translated conspired against refer to the making of a secret plan to harm someone. New Century Version translates “made plans against.”

And killed him in his house: The house of King Amon is more naturally referred to as his “palace” (Good News Translation) in those languages that have a special word for the residence of royalty.
