14:16a Then Samson’s wife came to him, weeping, and said,
Then Samson’s wife went to him crying. She said,

So Samson’s wife/bride wept in front of Samson.
14:16b “You hate me! You do not really love me!
“You only hate me. You do not love me.

“Truly you hate me. You do not love me.

“You must not love me at all.
14:16c You have posed to my people a riddle, but have not explained it to me.”
You asked the young men of my people a riddle. But you have not told me the answer.”
-or-
You gave my countrymen a riddle to solve and you have not told me the solution.”
14:16d “Look,” he said, “I have not even explained it to my father or mother,
He answered, “Look, I have not told it to my father or to my mother.
-or-
Samson replied, “I have not even told my own father or my mother about it.
14:16e so why should I explain it to you?”
So will/should I tell you?”

I certainly will not tell you.”
