Judah, Judea

The name that is transliterated as “Judah” or “Judea” in English (referring to the son of Jacob, the tribe, and the territory) is translated in Spanish Sign Language as “lion” (referring to Genesis 49:9 and Revelation 5:5). Nadab reigned over the northern kingdom for two years only. The author gives only a few verses to his reign (1 Kgs 15.25-31).

14:20a And the length of Jeroboam’s reign was twenty-two years, and he rested with his fathers,

He ruled for twenty-two years. He died and was buried close to his ancestors.

14:20b and his son Nadab reigned in his place.
