2:25a I will repay you for the years eaten by locusts—

“I, ⌊Yahweh,⌋ will compensate you (plur.) for all the years when the locusts ate ⌊your (plur.) crops/food⌋ ,

⌊Yahweh also said/says,⌋ “I will give back to you ⌊all that you (plur.) lost in⌋ the years when the locusts ate the harvests,

2:25b the swarming locust, the young locust,

the first locust swarm and the second swarm,

⌊when⌋ the first multitude/cloud of locusts ⌊destroyed/consumed the crops⌋ , and then the second multitude/cloud,

2:25c the destroying locust, and the devouring locust—

then the third swarm and the fourth—

also the third multitude/cloud of locusts and the last/final multitude/cloud.

2:25d My great army that I sent against you.

my great army that I sent into your (plur.) land.

2:4a Their appearance is like that of horses,

The soldiers ⌊in that army⌋ look like horses,

The members ⌊of that army⌋ resemble war-horses,

2:4b and they gallop like swift steeds.

and they rush/run forward like men/warriors riding horses.

and they dash/charge forward like men on horseback ⌊attacking the enemy⌋ .

3:4a Now what do you have against Me, O Tyre, Sidon, and all the regions of Philistia?

“What ⌊have I done⌋ that you (plur.) are against me, ⌊cities of⌋ Tyre and Sidon and every part/district of Philistia?

“⌊You people living in⌋ Tyre and Sidon and throughout Philistia, what is your (plur.) grudge/complaint against me?

“⌊You people⌋ ⌊in the towns of⌋ Tyre and Sidon and all over Philistia, I have not done any harm to you (plur.).

3:4b Are you rendering against Me a recompense?

Are you (plur.) trying to harm me because of something I have done ⌊to harm you⌋ ?

Are you (plur.) taking revenge on me? Do you think I have treated you badly?
-or-
Are you (plur.) trying to get revenge for something? ⌊You (plur.) have no reason for that.⌋

3:4d If you retaliate against Me,

If you (plur.) are trying to do that,

If you (plur.) think/plan to do me some evil in return,
-or-
But if you (plur.) are getting/taking revenge on me,

3:4e I will swiftly and speedily return your recompense upon your heads.

I will suddenly and quickly pay you (plur.) back for your ⌊evil⌋ deeds.

I will surely cause that same ⌊evil⌋ to quickly come upon you (plur.) .
-or-

⌊know that⌋ I will soon cause you (plur.) to suffer for ⌊the suffering⌋ you caused ⌊my people⌋ .
