10:15a So the king did not listen to the people,

The king did not listen to the people of Israel

10:15b and indeed this turn of events was from God,

because this is what God had decided.

10:15c in order that the LORD might fulfill the word that He had spoken

Yahweh made his prophecy come true. This was the prophecy that he gave to Jeroboam, Nebat’s son,

Yahweh caused what he told Jeroboam the son of Nebat to happen.

10:15d through Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam son of Nebat.

through Ahijah of the town of Shiloh.
