22:32a When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they said,

When the captains/officers of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said,

Then/And when the captains/commanders saw Jehoshaphat,

22:32b “Surely this is the king of Israel!”

“That must be the king of Israel.”
-or-
they assumed/thought that he was the king of Israel.

22:32c So they turned to fight against him, but Jehoshaphat cried out.

They turned toward him to attack him, and Jehoshaphat shouted.

They began to pursue him. But Jehoshaphat cried/called out.
