2:40 The Levites: the descendants of Jeshua and Kadmiel (through the line of Hodaviah), 74.

¶ There were seventy-four (74) descendants of Levi from the clan of Jeshua and Kadmiel (through the sub-line of Hodaviah),
-or-
¶ ⌊This is the list and/with the numbers of⌋ the men of/from the clan of Levi ⌊who returned⌋. From the families of Jeshua and Kadmiel there were seventy-four ⌊who returned⌋. All of those came through the line of Hodaviah, the descendant of Jeshua and Kadmiel.

¶ ⌊These are the numbers of⌋ the descendants of Levi ⌊who returned, according to their clans/families and work⌋. 74 were the descendants of Hodaviah. Their ancestors were/included Jeshua and Kadmiel.

3:2a Then Jeshua son of Jozadak and his fellow priests, along with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and his associates,

Then Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and the other priests, and Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, and his colleagues/associates

Then Jeshua, ⌊the high/leading⌋ sacrificer son of Jozadak, and his companions who were also sacrificers and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and his companions ⌊started working⌋.

3:2b began to build the altar of the God of Israel to sacrifice burnt offerings on it,

began to build the gift/sacrifice place of their God. They did this in order to give/offer completely burnt sacrifices on it,

They began to rebuild the place/platform for entirely burning animals/sacrifices for the God of ⌊the people of⌋ Israel.

3:2c as it is written in the Law of Moses the man of God.

according to what it says in the Law that God had given Moses, the man of God.

4:21a Now, therefore, issue an order for these men to stop,

Now, give (plur.) the order for those men to stop/cease.

7:22a up to a hundred talents of silver, a hundred cors of wheat, a hundred baths of wine,

8:26 I weighed out into their hands 650 talents of silver, articles of silver weighing 100 talents, 100 talents of gold,

Tons are both an imperial (English) and metric unit of measure. In meaning line 1 below, metric tons are used. According to the English system, this would be 24-25 tons of silver, and close to 4 tons of objects made of silver and close to 4 tons of gold.

After measuring/weighing, I divided among them twenty (20) tons of silver, three (3) tons of items/objects made of silver, three (3) tons of gold,
