3:5a After that, they presented the regular burnt offerings

After that, they gave/offered the daily burnt sacrifices,

3:5b and those for New Moons and for all the appointed sacred feasts of the LORD,

the burnt sacrifices at the time of the new moon, and the burnt sacrifices for all the sacred/holy festivals that Yahweh ⌊had commanded them to celebrate/do⌋.

3:5c as well as all the freewill offerings brought to the LORD.

4:24a Thus the construction of the house of God in Jerusalem ceased,

¶ ⌊From the time that opposition started when Cyrus was king,⌋ the Jews stopped rebuilding the house of God in Jerusalem.

4:24b and it remained at a standstill until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
