8:27a 20 gold bowls valued at 1,000 darics,

8:27b and two articles of fine polished bronze, as precious as gold.

I gave these priests and descendants of Levi the responsibility to guard the gifts of silver, gold, and sacred objects that the king, his advisors, his officials, and Jews had given for the house of our (incl.) God. I weighed the silver, gold and objects. The silver weighed twenty thousand (20,000) kilograms. The gold weighed three thousand four hundred (3,400) kilograms. Then there were objects made of silver. These weighed three thousand four hundred (3,400) kilograms. And there were twenty (20) bowls made of gold that had the value of one thousand (1,000) gold coins. Then there were two objects made of a special kind of bronze that shined. These were desired as much/highly as if they were made of gold.

10:8a Whoever failed to appear within three days would forfeit all his property,

Anyone who did not gather by the third day would lose everything they owned

If anyone fails to come to that meeting within three days, his possessions will be taken from him.

10:8b according to the counsel of the leaders and elders,

by order/authority of the officials and elders of the people.

That is what we (excl.) leaders/chiefs of the people have decided.

10:8c and would himself be expelled from the assembly of the exiles.

And he himself would be expelled from the group of the people who returned ⌊from Babylon to Judah⌋.
