20:19a But Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the LORD that you have spoken is good.”

Hezekiah answered, “The message from Yahweh that you have given to me is good.”

22:4a “Go up to Hilkiah the high priest and have him count the money

The Hebrew verb that the Berean Standard Bible translates as “have him count the money” is more literally “have him count, add up.”

“Go (sing.) tell Hilkiah the high priest to count the silver pieces

“Go ⌊and meet⌋ Hilkiah the chief sacrificer. Tell him to see how much silver

22:4b that has been brought into the house of the LORD,

that ⌊the people⌋ have brought into the house of Yahweh.

the worshipers⌋ have given to the temple of Yahweh.

22:4c which the doorkeepers have collected from the people.

The watchmen at the door/gate have collected/gathered these silver pieces from the people ⌊who come to worship⌋ .

The priests/officials guarding the entrance ⌊to the temple⌋ have received this silver from the worshipers ⌊and have kept it⌋ .

“The silver money/pieces that ⌊the people⌋ brought/bring to the temple has been collected by the gatekeepers. Go and tell Hilkiah the high priest to take that silver and determine/figure its value.

23:16a And as Josiah turned,
