The army of Israel made Jehu king

9:1a Now Elisha the prophet summoned one of the sons of the prophets

The prophet Elisha called for a young man from the community/group of prophets.

One day, Elisha the prophet called one of the disciples/assistants of the prophets to come to him.

9:1b and said to him, “Tuck your cloak under your belt,

He/Elisha said to the young man, “Fasten your coat into your belt

He told him, “Get ready to travel

9:1c take this flask of oil, and go to Ramoth-gilead.

and take this bottle containing olive oil ⌊from me⌋ . I am sending you to ⌊the city of⌋ Ramoth ⌊in⌋ Gilead.

to Ramoth ⌊city⌋ ⌊in the region of⌋ Gilead. ⌊When you go,⌋ carry with you this jar of olive oil ⌊that I am giving you⌋ .
