18:16a At that time Hezekiah stripped the gold

At this time Hezekiah king of Judah stripped the gold

-or-

It was during that time that Hezekiah removed the gold surface/covering

18:16b with which he had plated the doors and doorposts of the temple of the LORD,

from the doors of the house of Yahweh. He stripped from the door-frames the gold with which he had covered them.

-or-

which he himself had ordered to be applied to the doors and the doorposts of Yahweh’s temple.

18:16c and he gave it to the king of Assyria.

He sent this gold to the king of Assyria.

Hezekiah then handed this gold over to the ruler of Assyria.

But you (sing.) must have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the other lands.

19:11c Will you then be spared?

23:3a So the king stood by the pillar

As he stood⌋ before Yahweh, he promised to be faithful to the ⌊holy⌋ covenant.

23:3c to follow the LORD and to keep His commandments, decrees, and statutes

23:35a So Jehoiakim paid the silver and gold to Pharaoh Neco,

Jehoiakim gave the Pharaoh the amount of silver and gold that the Pharaoh had told him.

23:35b but to meet Pharaoh’s demand he taxed the land

To do this Jehoiakim collected a tax from ⌊the people of ⌋ the land.

23:35c and exacted the silver and the gold from the people,
