The Greek in John 18:20 that is translated as “I have said nothing in secret” or similar in English is translated in the German New Testament translation by Berger / Nord (publ. 1999) as Ich habe keine Geheimlehre verbreitet or “I have not taught any mysticism (or: “Secret teachings”).”
