The Greek that is translated as “there was great joy” or similar in English is translated in the Catholic Mandarin Chinese Sigao version with a historical Chinese idiom: jiēdà huānxǐ (皆大歡喜 / 皆大欢喜), lit. “everybody was joyful.” (Source: Toshikazu S.
