Translation commentary on 1 Kings 4:14

Ahinadab the son of Iddo was in charge of the seventh administrative district.

Mahanaim was a city east of the Jordan River in Gilead (see the comments at 1 Kgs 2.8). This city was the capital city of Solomon’s seventh administrative district.
