Translation commentary on 1 Chronicles 7:27

Nun his son, Joshua his son: Instead of Nun, the Hebrew text has “Non” (King James Version, New American Standard Bible, New Jewish Publication Society’s Tanakh, American Bible, Nouvelle version Segond révisée), but nearly all other translations read Nun, which is the spelling of this person’s name everywhere else in the Old Testament. Joshua, who was Moses’ successor, was the son of Nun according to Exo 33.11; Num 11.28; and numerous other passages.
