Translation commentary on 1 Chronicles 6:68

The parallel text in Josh 21.22 has “Kibza-im” instead of Jokme-am. Kibzaim is not mentioned elsewhere in the Old Testament. There is no legitimate reason to harmonize the two passages. New American Bible, however, corrects the Masoretic Text to read “Kibzaim” here in verse 68. Possibly these were two different names for the same place, but since nothing else is known about these two cities, such identification is only speculation.
