Translation commentary on 1 Chronicles 6:14

Seraiah (verse 14) died soon after the Babylonian army captured Jerusalem (2 Kgs 25.18-21).

Jehozadak (verse 14) was the father of Joshua, who was the first High Priest after the people of Judah returned from the exile in Babylonia (Ezra 3.2, 8; 5.2; Hag 1.1, 12, 14; 2.2, 4; Zech 6.11). Joshua was an important leader of the people of God.
