Translation commentary on 1 Chronicles 11:46

Mahavite: No place or family with this name is known. Some scholars suggest correcting the word to read “the Mahanite,” that is, from Mahanaim. Good News Translation and Contemporary English Version treat this as a place called “Mahavah.”
