The Greek that is translated as “they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven” or similar in English is translated in the German New Testament translation by Berger / Nord (publ. 1999) with Sie sollen sehen, was ihr tut, und so zu Gott finden und euren Vater im Himmel loben or “Let them see what you do and thus find God and praise your Father in heaven.”
