5:2a At this time the Arameans had gone out in bands

Some groups/gangs of armed men had gone from Aram ⌊and entered the land of Israel⌋ .

-or-

⌊Some time before,⌋ some fighting men from Aram/Syria had attacked ⌊the land of Israel⌋ .

5:2b and had taken a young girl from the land of Israel,

They had captured a young Israelite girl

-or-

They had taken/kidnapped a girl and ⌊forced her to go with them⌋ ⌊back to Aram/Syria⌋ .

5:2c and she was serving Naaman’s wife.

and ⌊given/sold⌋ her to Naaman’s wife as a maidservant.

-or-

There she became a slave/servant for Naaman’s wife.
