gold ring in a pig’s snout

The Hebrew in Proverbs 11:22 that is translated as “gold ring in a pig’s snout” or similar in English is translated in Turkmen as “gold ring in a dog’s nose” because it “sounded more natural while preserving the general idea of a precious decoration used in vain.” (Source: Andrei S. Desnitsky in The Bible Translator 2018, p. 233ff. ).
