Christ is the culmination of the law

The Greek in Romans 10:4 that is translated as “Christ is the culmination of the law” or similar in English is translated in the German New Testament translation by Berger / Nord (publ. 1999) “Christ did what the law was not able to do.” The translators explain: “Literally: ‘Christ is the end/goal of the law.’ Our translation roots in the Paul’s arguments in verses 6-9 or 6-13.”
