The Greek in John 21:15 that is translated as “you have no fish, have you?” or similar in English is translated in the German New Testament translation by Berger / Nord (publ. 1999) as Habt ihr nicht etwas, das man zum Brot essen kann? or “Don’t you have something that can be eaten with bread?”
