Translation commentary on Judges 10:5

And Jair died, and was buried in Kamon: This is the standard formula for describing the end of a judge’s life (see verse 9.2). The town of Kamon may be the site known as Qamm in the northern part of present-day Jordan. This town is just south of the area where the settlements of Jair are believed to have been.
