31:8a When Hezekiah and his officials came and viewed the heaps,

Hezekiah and his officers arrived ⌊at the temple⌋ and saw what they had piled up.

King Hezekiah and the members of his court came and saw the piles ⌊of offerings⌋ that the people had brought.

31:8b they blessed the LORD and His people Israel.

32:19a They spoke against the God of Jerusalem as they had spoken against the gods of the peoples of the earth—

They continued denouncing the God of Jerusalem. They spoke about him the way they spoke about all the other gods,

32:19b the work of human hands.

33:18a As for the rest of the acts of Manasseh, along with his prayer to his God

34:25c that they might provoke Me to anger with all the works of their hands.

I am angry because of all the bad things they have made.

They have made me angry by all the ⌊statues of gods⌋ they have made.

34:25d My wrath will be poured out upon this place

I will let my anger come on this place

I will punish Jerusalem in my anger.

34:25e and will not be quenched.’
