4:32 Solomon composed three thousand proverbs, and his songs numbered a thousand and five.

He/Solomon was the author of 3000 proverbs and 1005 songs.

SIL Translator’s Notes on 1 Kings 6:12

6:12a “As for this temple you are building,

“⌊I have something to say to you (sing) ⌋ about this house that you are building.
-or-
about the temple that he was building. Yahweh said,

6:12b if you walk in My statutes, carry out My ordinances, and keep all My commandments by walking in them,

⌊I want⌋ you(incl.) to live according to my laws, obey my commandments, and obediently/faithfully keep my rules/regulations. If you do,
-or-
“You must obey all the laws and directions that I have ⌊given you⌋. If you live/act in this way,

6:12c I will fulfill through you the promise I made to your father David.

I will make my word/promise to your (sing) father David come true through/in you.
-or-
I will do for you what I promised ⌊King⌋ David your (sing) father.

SIL Translator’s Notes on 1 Kings 7:6

7:6a Solomon made his colonnade fifty cubits long and thirty cubits wide,

Solomon also built a hall of/with columns. The length ⌊of this hall⌋ was 50 cubits and its width was 30 cubits.

Solomon also had ⌊his workmen⌋ construct the Hallway of Pillars. It was twenty-five (25) meters long and fifteen (15) meters wide.

7:6b with a portico in front of it and a canopy with pillars in front of the portico.

The meaning of this verse part is not certain. Translators may wish to follow their majority-language version.

In front of this hall was a covered porch supported by columns.
-or-
There was an entrance area in front of this hallway, and it had pillars and a roof.

7:38a He also made ten bronze basins,

Huram also made ten water bowls/containers out of bronze.
-or-
Huram also shaped/formed ten bronze basins ⌊to hold water for purification⌋.

7:38b each holding forty baths and measuring four cubits across,

See the note on 1 Kings 7:26c. The Sea could hold fifty times as much water as these bowls or basins.

They each held forty large liquid measures ⌊of water⌋ and were four cubits across the rim/top.

Each basin could contain about a thousand liters. Each one measured two meters from one side of the rims to the other.

7:38c one basin for each of the ten stands.

There was one basin for each base.

One water basin ⌊sat/rested⌋ on each of the ten stands.

8:19a Nevertheless, you are not the one to build it;

But you (sing) are not the one who will build this house.

Even so, the person/one who will build this temple is not you.

8:19b but your son, your own offspring,

It will be one of your sons, your own family member.

Rather, it will be your very own son.

8:19c will build the house for My Name.’

It is he who will ⌊honor⌋ my Name by building me a house.’

He will build a temple for me.’

8:18-19

But Yahweh told David that he would not be the one/king to have a temple built/rise for his honor/glory. Yahweh was pleased that David had wanted/planned to do it. However, ⌊I,⌋ David’s own son, would cause the temple to rise.

SIL Translator’s Notes on 1 Kings 8:51

8:51a For they are Your people and Your inheritance; You brought them out of Egypt,

For they are your people and your possession. You caused them to leave Egypt,

⌊Remember that⌋ they are your people. They belong to you. You freed/led them from Egypt,

8:51b out of the furnace for iron.

⌊which was like pulling them⌋ out of a blazing fire.

⌊where they had suffered as though in⌋ a red-hot furnace.

9:17a So Solomon rebuilt Gezer,

So Solomon rebuilt ⌊the town/city of⌋ Gezer.

9:17b Lower Beth-horon,

He also built ⌊the cities⌋ of Lower Beth Horon,

10:21a All King Solomon’s drinking cups were gold,

All King Solomon’s drinking cups were ⌊made⌋ of gold,

All the cups from which King Solomon drank ⌊wine⌋ were ⌊formed/shaped from⌋ gold.

10:21b and all the utensils of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold.

and the dishes in the House of the Forest of Lebanon were of pure gold.

None of the vessels/containers in Lebanon Forest/Woods hall were made from anything but fine gold.

10:21c There was no silver,

Nothing ⌊there⌋ was made of silver,

There were no silver objects/articles ⌊in that hall/building⌋.

10:21d because it was accounted as nothing in the days of Solomon.

because silver had little value in Solomon’s time.

When Solomon was king, people did not consider silver to be of much value/worth.
