9:6a But if indeed you or your sons turn away from following Me

A man of God came from Judah to condemn the altar in Bethel

13:1a Suddenly, as Jeroboam was standing beside the altar to burn incense,

When Jeroboam ⌊the king of Israel⌋ was standing next to the altar ready to make a sacrifice,

13:1b there came a man of God from Judah to Bethel by the word of the LORD.

The Hebrew text spells the king’s name as Abijam. It is recommended that you spell the name as Abijah in order to be consistent with 1 Chronicles 3:10 and 2 Chronicles 12:16.
