2:27a So Solomon banished Abiathar from the priesthood of the LORD

Then Solomon dismissed Abiathar from serving as a priest of Yahweh.

So Solomon took away Abiathar’s authority to be Yahweh’s priest.

Then he said/concluded,⌋ “But you (sing) may no longer serve/act as Yahweh’s priest.”

2:27b and thus fulfilled the word that the LORD had spoken at Shiloh against the house of Eli.

This accomplished what Yahweh had said at Shiloh about Eli’s family/descendants.

In this way the word/message that came from Yahweh ⌊to Samuel⌋ at Shiloh ⌊town⌋ concerning Eli’s family came true.
