10:18a Consider the people of Israel:

Think about the people of Israel.

10:18b Are not those who eat the sacrifices fellow partakers in the altar?

Do they not share together in worship when they eat the sacrificed meat?

11:17a In the following instructions I have no praise to offer,

In giving these next instructions, I do not praise you (plur.),

11:17b because your gatherings do more harm than good.

for your (plur.) meetings harm more that they do good.

1:9 God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

God is trustworthy, and he has called you into union with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

You can trust God, who has invited/appointed you to be joined/united to his Son Jesus Christ our (incl.) Lord. ⌊He always does just what he says.⌋

God always does what he promises/says and he is the one who has chosen you to share in the life of his Son, our (incl.) Lord Jesus Christ.
