7:33a But the married man is concerned about the affairs of this world,

But if a man has a wife, he constantly thinks about his day-to-day life in this world.

On the other hand, a man with a wife spends time thinking about getting the things he ⌊and his family⌋ needs to live from day to day.

But married men devote their thoughts/energy to things that have to do with living in this world.

7:33b how he can please his wife,

He wants to take care of his wife.

9:12a If others have this right to your support,

9:12c But we did not exercise this right.

9:12d Instead, we put up with anything

14:2a For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God.

This is because a person who speaks in an unknown tongue does not address people, but addresses God.

14:2b Indeed, no one understands him;

For no one understands him,

Truly, nobody knows what they are saying,

14:2c he utters mysteries in the Spirit.

14:34a Women are to be silent in the churches.

women should be quiet during the meetings/services.

14:34b They are not permitted to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says.

They are not permitted to speak ⌊freely⌋. They should be obedient, as the law says.

They must not speak. Instead, they must obey ⌊the leaders⌋. This is what God says in the law.
