7:9a Finally, they said to one another, “We are not doing what is right.
But then they said to one another, “What we (incl.) are doing is not right/good.

7:9b Today is a day of good news.

7:9d and wait until morning light,
If we (incl.) delay until it gets light in the morning,

7:9e our sin will overtake us.
we will be punished.

we will be in trouble.

they would get into trouble.
7:9f Now, therefore, let us go and tell the king’s household.”
We should go right now and tell the king’s household.”

⌊So⌋ let us immediately go and give/announce this ⌊news⌋ to the people in the palace.”
