7:10a So they went and called out to the gatekeepers of the city,

So they went ⌊back to the city of Samaria⌋ . They shouted to the guards at the city gates.

So the four men/lepers returned ⌊to the gate of Samaria⌋ . There they shouted to ⌊get the attention of⌋ the watchmen.

-or-

So the men went back to the city and shouted the news to the watchmen at the gate/entrance.

7:10b saying, “We went to the Aramean camp

They told them, “We (excl.) went to the camp of the Arameans,

-or-

They said, “We have just gone to the place where the soldiers from Aram/Syria were staying.

-or-

They told them how they had entered the place where the Arameans/Syrians had set up their tents.

7:10c and no one was there—

but there was nobody there.

-or-

We (excl.) did not find/see a single person there.

-or-

There they had not found a single person/man,

7:10d not a trace—

There was no sound of/from any human being.

-or-

Nor did/could we hear anyone.

-or-

and they had not heard any human sound.

7:10e only tethered horses and donkeys,

There were only horses and donkeys, still tied up,

-or-

All that was there were the horses and donkeys ⌊that the Arameans/Syrians⌋ had left tied up.

-or-

They had only seen horses and donkeys ⌊that people had tied up with ropes⌋ .

7:10f and the tents were intact.”

and the tents, just as the Arameans/Syrians had left them.”

-or-

⌊They had abandoned⌋ their tents too, leaving them just as they were.”

-or-

They had also noticed that the tents had been left in their places.
