Section 23:34-24:7
Johoiakim ruled the land/country of Judah
23:34a Then Pharaoh Neco made Eliakim son of Josiah king in place of his father Josiah,
Pharaoh Necho made Josiah’s son Eliakim king to replace his father Josiah.

Necho the ruler of Egypt appointed Josiah’s son Eliakim king to take the place of his father.
23:34b and he changed Eliakim’s name to Jehoiakim.
Then he changed Eliakim’s name to Jehoiakim.

He gave Eliakim the name Jehoiakim.
23:34c But Neco took Jehoahaz
But he captured Jehoahaz

He made Jehoahaz a prisoner
23:34d and carried him off to Egypt,
The Hebrew text says “and he came to Egypt,” referring to Jehoahaz.
and made/caused him to go to Egypt.

He forced Jehoahaz to go to Egypt,
23:34d where he died.
Jehoahaz died there ⌊in Egypt⌋ .

and there Jehoahaz died.
