18:35a Who among all the gods of these lands has delivered his land from my hand?

Among all the gods of these other nations, has any of them saved those nations from my power?

-or-

Among all the objects which those people worship as God, none of them has ever saved their land from me.

18:35b How then can the LORD deliver Jerusalem from my hand?”

So why do you think that Yahweh can save Jerusalem?”

-or-

So there is no way that Yahweh can save Jerusalem.”
