14:26a For the LORD saw

For Yahweh had seen

-or-

Yahweh ⌊helped Jeroboam/Israel⌋ because he saw/knew that

14:26b that the affliction of the Israelites, both slave and free, was very bitter.

(Good News Translation) the terrible suffering of the Israelites;

The Hebrew phrase that the Berean Standard Bible translates as “both slave and free” refers to people of any rank or status. It should probably be understood as referring to and emphasizing the lack of helpers in 14:26c.

how terribly the people of Israel were suffering.

all the Israelites were in great/distress distress.

14:26c There was no one to help Israel,

(Good News Translation) there was no one at all to help them

Yahweh saw that⌋ no one at all, high/free or low/servant, was helping them.

-or-
