12:8a So the priests agreed

The priests agreed to this.

-or-

The sacrificers said, “We (excl.) agree/consent.

12:8b that they would not receive money from the people

They said that they would no longer receive/take silver from the people

-or-

We (excl.) will stop taking the money that people bring ⌊into the temple⌋ .

12:8c and that they would not repair the temple themselves.

and that they would not try to fix/correct the damages to Yahweh’s house themselves.

-or-

We (excl.) will give the task/responsibility of repairing the temple to others.”
