12:7a So King Joash called Jehoiada and the other priests

So King Joash called for Jehoiada the priest and the rest of the priests.

-or-

So he asked Jehoiada and the other sacrificers to come to him.

12:7b and said, “Why have you not repaired the damage to the temple?

Then he asked them, “Why have you (plur.) not fixed/corrected the damages that ⌊people⌋ have done to ⌊Yahweh’s⌋ house?

-or-

Joash said to them all, “You (plur.) have failed/neglected to repair the damaged parts of the temple.

12:7c Now, therefore, take no more money from your constituency,

Do not take any more silver from your temple officials.

-or-

You (plur.) must no longer take ⌊charge/control of⌋ any of the ⌊holy⌋ offerings.

12:7d but hand it over for the repair of the temple.”

Give it to those who will fix/correct the damages to Yahweh’s house.”

-or-

Instead let those who can repair the damage to the temple receive/take it.”
