10:35a And Jehu rested with his fathers

Jehu died and joined his forefathers/grandfathers

Jehu went to be with his ancestors.

10:35b and was buried in Samaria,

and was buried in ⌊the city of⌋ Samaria.

His people buried his body in Samaria.

10:35c and his son Jehoahaz reigned in his place.

His son Jehoahaz became king after him.

They made his son Jehoahaz king in his place.
