16:10a Asa was angry with the seer and became so enraged over this matter

Asa became angry with the prophet for ⌊saying⌋ this.

King Asa was angry with Hanani the prophet because of what he had said.

16:10b that he put the man in prison.

He was so angry with him that he put him in prison.

He put him in prison because he was furious with him.

16:10c And at the same time Asa oppressed some of the people.

He was also very cruel to some of his people.

King Asa also used force on some of his people and made them suffer.
