12:2a In the fifth year of Rehoboam’s reign,

In the fifth year that Rehoboam was king,

12:2b because they had been unfaithful to the LORD,

they were not faithful to Yahweh.

12:2c Shishak king of Egypt came up and attacked Jerusalem
