3:1a Later, Solomon formed an alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt by marrying his daughter.
Solomon agreed to become the son-in-law of Pharaoh, that is, the king of Egypt. He married his daughter

⌊King⌋ Solomon allied himself with the Egyptian king by marrying one of his daughters.
3:1b Solomon brought her to the City of David
and brought her to ⌊live in⌋ the City of David, ⌊within Jerusalem⌋.

Then he gave her a home ⌊in the part of Jerusalem⌋ that David ⌊had conquered⌋.
3:1c until he had finished building his palace and the house of the LORD,
⌊She stayed there⌋ until he/Solomon had completed his own house and Yahweh’s house.
-or-
⌊She lived there⌋ while ⌊Solomon’s men⌋ built his palace and the temple for the worship of Yahweh.
-or-
⌊That is where she lived⌋ until Solomon’s palace was ready/complete, and until the temple of Yahweh
3:1d as well as the wall around Jerusalem.
⌊At this time⌋ Solomon also completed the wall ⌊that surrounded/protected the entire city⌋ of Jerusalem.
-or-
They also built a ⌊stone⌋ wall to encircle/protect ⌊all⌋ Jerusalem.
-or-
and the wall surrounding Jerusalem were also ready/complete.
