22:52a And he did evil in the sight of the LORD

Ahaziah did things/deeds that are wrong/bad/evil in Yahweh’s sight.

22:52b and walked in the ways of his father and mother and of Jeroboam son of Nebat,

He lived the same way that his father had lived and that his mother had lived. He lived like Jeroboam, the son of Nebat.

He behaved/acted in the ⌊evil⌋ way that his father ⌊Ahab⌋ and his mother ⌊Jezebel⌋ had done. He behaved like Jeroboam, the son of Nebat,

22:52c who had caused Israel to sin.
