19:9a There Elijah entered a cave and spent the night.

He entered a cave there to sleep that night.

There ⌊at Horeb⌋, Elijah found a cave in which to spend the night.

19:9b And the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

Then Yahweh spoke to Elijah! He asked, “What are you (sing) doing here, Elijah?”

Suddenly, Elijah heard Yahweh asking him, “Elijah, why are you (sing) here?”
