15:19a “Let there be a treaty between me and you,
Asa told ⌊his men to tell Ben-Hadad⌋, “Let there be a covenant/alliance between me and you (sing).

Asa gave his officials this message ⌊for Ben-Hadad⌋ : “I want us(incl.) to make an agreement ⌊to help one another in war⌋,
15:19b between my father and your father.
For there was a covenant between my father and your (sing) father.
-or-
just as my father and your father did.
15:19c See, I have sent you a gift of silver and gold.
Notice (sing) this ⌊large/generous⌋ present of silver and gold that I am sending you!
-or-
That is why I am giving you (sing) ⌊all⌋ this gold and silver.
15:19d Now go and break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, so that he will withdraw from me.”
So now break/end your (sing) covenant/alliance with Baasha king of Israel so he will withdraw from me.”
-or-
Please put an end to the agreement you (sing) made with Baasha king of Israel. ⌊Attack him.⌋ Then he will stop attacking me.”
