Following are a number of back-translations as well as a sample translation for translators of Ezekiel 22:28:

• Kupsabiny: “The prophets cover up these sins like when a wall is plastered with whitewash. They see revelations that are lies and predict things of lying. They pretend to speak for me who has power, but I have not spoken to them.” (Source: Kupsabiny Back Translation)
• Hiligaynon: “Their prophets indeed cover their sins by not the true visions and prophecies. They say that-was what as-it-is-said by the Lord GOD even-though the LORD did- not -say.” (Source: Hiligaynon Back Translation)
• English: “Their prophets, by falsely saying they have received visionsfrom God, and by giving false messages, try to cover up /say that it is all right to commit those sins. They say, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says,’ when I have said nothing to them.” (Source: Translation for Translators)
