21:6a And the Israelites grieved for their brothers, the Benjamites,

The Israelites were mourning for their brother clan, the clan of Benjamin.

21:6b and said, “Today a tribe is cut off from Israel.

They said, “This day one clan has been cut away from the other clans of Israel.
