21:8a So they asked, “Which one of the tribes of Israel failed to come up before the LORD at Mizpah?”

That is why they asked, “Which of our clans did not come when we assembled before Yahweh at Mizpah town?”

And so they asked each other who of Israel’s people had not come to Yahweh when they gathered at Mizpah town.

21:8b And, in fact, no one from Jabesh-gilead had come to the camp for the assembly.

Then they saw that no one from Jabesh Gilead town had come when they assembled.

Actually, nobody had come from the town of Jabesh Gilead.
