13:16a Then Elisha said to the king of Israel,

Then Elisha said to the king of Israel,

13:16b “Put your hand on the bow.”

“Ready the bow in your hands.”

to pick up the bow and prepare ⌊to shoot an arrow⌋ .

13:16c So the king put his hand on the bow,

When the king had made/got it ready ⌊in his hands⌋ ,

So the king did so.

13:16d and Elisha put his hands on the king’s hands.

Elisha then placed his own hands over the hands of the king.

Elisha laid his hands on King Jehoash’s hands.
